1. Will the student whom I request as a roommate automatically become my roommate?
No. When you select another student during the Contract Request Phase and you receive a regular room housing contract offer, that student's name will automatically be placed on your housing contract. Both students must be offered a regular room contract for this to occur. If you do not change your roommate selection to another name on the contract, you will be considered as roommates during the assignment process. Keep in mind, both students must accept their housing contract and both must keep the original name in the contract roommate preference to be considered. Students who requested a potential roommate of a different gender will not be carried over to the contract as a roommate and will not be considered as a roommate option. |
