Housing process for current Penn State students

Contract Request

To receive a regular Housing Contract from any of the Penn State campuses, you must participate in the Contract Request process.

You may submit a Contract Request anytime between noon, November 16, 2009 and noon, January 21, 2010. A student who submits a Contract Request on November 16, 2009 has no greater or lesser chance of being selected than a student who submits a Contract Request on January 21, 2010.

Multiple Contract Requests: You have the option to request Housing Contracts for different campuses and some students can select different contracts at University Park.

You may submit multiple Contract Requests if you are in the process of making—or are planning to make—a change of assignment from one Penn State campus to another. Receiving a Contract Offer for a campus does not guarantee an academic change of assignment. If you submit more than one Housing Contract, you are responsible for canceling the contract at the campus you will not be attending. Failure to cancel this contract could result in a financial penalty.

Steps to Requesting a Housing Contract:
Step 1: Select a campus and contract period.
Step 2: Select the contract(s) you would like to request.
Step 3: Enter a potential roommate selection.
Step 4: Submit your request.
Step 5: Check back to see if you have received an offer in eLiving.
